best of decluttering and simplifying
Simplifying, minimizing, and decluttering have become one of my most favorite things to do. i have figured out a system for my house, and i’m hoping that system and those tips can help you too. someone once told me that my house is a direct reflection of my mind, and they are so accurate. most times, our house with 3 kids is undone, but it’s worked itself out to be a pretty quick tidy turnaround. Getting to that point though, is where it has taken me a few years to figure out how to stop the cycle of amassing clutter (toys, laundry, home goods, erroneous junk), and tidy it up.

The Journey of Simplifying
Stop over-scheduling yourself and multitasking, and start simplifying your life and schedule. It’s not actually as horrible as it sounds. It’s an adjustment process for sure, and is so much better for your brain! Join me on this journey – or adventure? experience? – of simplifying!

Calming the Chaos in 20 Minutes
Just because our house sometimes is ‘undone’ most of the time, that doesn’t mean it can’t be tidied pretty quickly with most hands on deck. When our homes get out of control we get overwhelmed, and when we get overwhelmed our homes are a reflection of that too. This is the perfect time to take 20 minutes and declutter to find calm inside our homes and hearts.

Finding a New Routine
We all find ourselves needing a new routine sometimes. Sometimes we choose to, other times we’re forced to. No matter if you’re forced suddenly, or choose to on purpose, here are three ways our family is settling into our new routine.

DIY Apple Box Shoe Cubbies
Our entry way has been in flux for 6 years, and it’s finally gotten manageable. I built these shoe cubbies from 2 apple boxes, added shelves inside, to help corral the shoe clutter. Keeping minimal pairs of shoes helps, but these shelves alleviate the issue of Shoe Mountain.

Cut Your Stress During High Stress Times
What if I told you you could handle your stress and learn to chill a bit? During the holidays, school season, weekends, and overall busy seasons for you in general, you commit to every single thing. Stop doing that.
