Psst… can I tell you a secret?

I’ve been pinning fall decor ideas.

Make no mistake, I am a celebrate-the-season-in-the-season kind girl. Christmas and winter decor belong in December, Thanksgiving in November, and Fall begins in September. Sorry, but Halloween gets 1 week for itself in October.

But y’all… I’m ready for fall. It’s beginning to cool down at night here, and the days are still hot, but not surface-of-the-sun hot, and the kids are all returning back to school in a few days. And I. Am. Ready.

So, I’ve been pinning fall decor for inspirational purposes only, and will not begin to decorate for fall, until September. But I’ve been pinning it ALL. ALL OF IT.

Know what gives me life?  White pumpkins, the gourds with bumps, white pumpkins, green pumpkins, the marbled green and white pumpkins. Those wheat wreaths, barley, cotton stems, and burlap. I am an advocate of neutral fall decor, because orange (other than mums and jack-o-lanterns), tends to give me hives.

I’ve been finding so many glorious pins, I thought I’d bring them all together for you, so you can join me in feeling guilty about pinning fall decor and promising to not decorate until September. This post is for inspirational purposes only. I mean… if you do decide to decorate before September, I will cover for you if you do the same for me.

My Favorite Farmhouse Style Fall Decor Ideas from Pinterest

I have one of these crocks on my porch with a planter on top, and now I’m inspired to find more and load ’em up with all the mums.  The pumpkins here are so lovely and natural, even that orange one – he is pretty handsome.

White pumpkins scream farmhouse to me. They’re different and interesting, and I need every single one. In a metal basket!

These colors are my spirit animal! That fuzzy sage leaf, with those green and white shades and textures are so cozy.

I love all the texture and tones here. Just because you go neutral, doesn’t at all mean it has to be flat.  Do you see that corn stalk back there?!

This simple elegant tablescape is the bees knees, with just the right mix of casual and fancy. Can I draw your attention to the bay leaf garland on the table, you guys? I need it, and I need it everywhere.

I am having the feelings with the tiered tray oozing with baby pumpkins – I always struggle to style these, so I actually don’t have any – but I’m going to try this on my coffee bar and she how it shakes out!

I need a dough bowl. Immediately.

Obviously, you can’t forget the door… This gorgeous wheat wreath is on my list for fall!

This is just flipping gorgeous, all around. Simple and elegant, still comfortable.

For all of us that need directions, these 5 simple steps are painless! Those velvet pumpkins are adorable!

Alright, so maybe I’m digging things from my basement sooner than September.
